Anca Craciunica

I recently graduated with a first-class degree in Creative Computing from the University of West London. Among other projects, I utilized Unreal Engine,Maya and generative AI (Convai) to develop a VR platform for my final year project, designed to help students learn Microbiology. I’m excited to bring my skills in VR and game development to the gaming industry!

DEVELOPER

SpiderBrave is a serious game developed as part of my BSc Creative Computing degree, designed to aid in the treatment of arachnophobia through exposure therapy. Utilizing Unreal Engine, the game introduces players to gradual and controlled encounters with spiders, transitioning from cartoonish representations to more realistic depictions as levels progress. This project not only showcases my technical skills in game development, but also highlights my ability to integrate psychological principles into user-centered design. SpiderBrave exemplifies how virtual reality can be used as an effective tool in therapeutic settings, offering a novel approach to overcoming deep-seated fears.
